The Camariñas Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coruña, which will celebrate its thirty-fourth edition from April 16 to 20, advances a small part of its creative and artisanal spirit this Saturday, April 12 in the Plaza de María Pita in A Coruña with a parade-exhibition that will serve as a prelude to the event.
The event will begin around 7:00 p.m. and will turn the heart of the Herculaneum city into a showcase for the talent of some of the designers participating in the Mostra. In the event of rain, the activity will be moved to the arcades of the square.
The fashion show will showcase the collections presented in previous editions of the Mostra by designers such as Jose Matteos, Joaquín Ruíz, Anamingo, Andion Clothing and Ana Cabranes. Ten models will show off their creations, with a preliminary preparation that will begin at 4:00 pm in Jennifer Fuentes' studio, where they will be in charge of makeup and hair.
The mayor of Camariñas, Sandra Insua, explains that "with this promotional action we want to bring the spirit of the Mostra to the residents of A Coruña, claiming the value of Camariñas lace as a symbol of tradition, fashion and innovation. It will be a preview of what can be experienced in Camariñas from April 16 to 20, in an edition that will once again bring together lacemakers, designers and lovers of Galician culture around lace."
