The XXXII New Designers Competition begins with 29 promising fashion designers

Today, groups 'A' and 'B' of the competition paraded down the catwalk of the XXXV Mostra do Encaixe. In total, there are 25 finalist collections, with boys and girls who belong to schools from different parts of Galicia and Spain.

Today, Thursday, April 2, the 29 finalists participating in the XXXII New Designers Competition, a commitment by the organization to emerging talent, took to the catwalk for the first time at this XXXV Camariñas Lace Exhibition, Provincial Council of A Coruña.

A total of 25 collections by the designers: Adriana Alonso Álvarez (Santiago de Compostela); Ainhoa Trueba López (Torrelavega, Cantabria); Alba Martínez Arjona (Terrassa); Andrea Alegría Ballester (Santander, Cantabria); Andrea Bernado Gil (Lleida); Andrea Gómez Usó (Tabernes Blanques, Valencia); Borja Pintos Nieto (Madrid); Carla Ayllon Ferraro (Valencia); Carlota Paradela Sued (Santander, Cantabria); Chenxi Zhao (Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Barcelona); David Fernández Fernández (A Coruña); Eduardo Rial Barral (Viladecruces, Pontevedra); Enmma Ritzo (Santander, Cantabria); Estefanía Orgaz Fernández (Orro, Culleredo); Gloria García Cuenca (Madrid); Iria Navarrete Ponte (Nigrán); Javier Requena López (La Rinconada, Seville); José Ródenas Colomer (L'Eliana); Josu Santos Blanco (Sobrado do Bispo, Ourense); Laura Freire Feijoo (Aranga, A Coruña); Leticia Rodríguez Cancela (Cospeito, Lugo); Lucía Cornide Muiño (Brexo, Cambre); Lucía García Palmero (Granada); María Beatriz Zambrano Moreno (Santander); Marina Lamelo Ballejo (Santiago de Compostela); Marina Martín García (Antequera, Málaga); Nicolás Liste Oubel (Santiago de Compostela); Noelia Barreiro González (Santiago de Compostela); Pau Borrós Jaques (Barcelona); Pedro Orgaz Fernández (Orro, Culleredo); Rocío Molina López (Restábal, Granada); Rubén Pérez Ornedo (La Palma del Condado, Huelva); Sheila Pérez Garrido (Madrid); Sofia García Rodríguez (Pontevedra).

Most of the selected people belong to the following schools: Valencia, Susa Suárez Santiago de Compostela, SD Mestre Mateo, Sevilla School of Fashion, Barreira A+D, Granada Design Station, Artediez Madrid, Cesine Cantabria and Goymar School of Design.

A total of 25 collections will be paraded on the catwalk of the XXXV Mostra do Encaixe de Camariñas: Amodiño, As bágoas, Expediente 1885, Arché, El Velo del Tiempo, Tecidas na Terra, Albor, Araiz, Voces del duelo, As viúvas dos vivos, Candelaria, Vestixios do morána, Alén, Febra, Cuerpos Sumergidos, Love Buried, Cuarto menguante, Mater Sanct, Auricas, Symbiosis, Pearls of the sea, Between wood and tide, Untamed, Between skin and structure and The coast that speaks. 

Awards

The main objective of the competition is to encourage and promote the application of Camariñas lace in fashion. The main novelty of this edition is that prizes will be awarded to the four best collections, based on the evaluation of the official jury. The first prize will consist of 2,100 euros, the second of 1,200 euros, the third of 700 euros and the fourth of 500 euros.

On Sunday, April 5, the jury's verdict will be announced.
