The XXX Camariñas Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coruña continues. After the inauguration, the highlight of the second day was the new 'ArtEncaixe' fashion show, in which tradition and innovation come together to create beautiful lace pieces.
There are 11 participants who apply lace to their crafts: Amorote Workshop, Ana Miguens, Charo López Atelier, Egueire ONG, Estilo Aramar, Janet Schulz, La Parabólica de Julia de la Cal, Noelia Peña, Pilar Rodríguez from 'En Lá', Silvereia and Xelis Luaces.
“It is another commitment that we are making from the Mostra to continue with our philosophy that lace has multiple applications and is an element that gives a differential touch to any piece,” explained the councilor of Encaixe, Encarna Liñeiro.
On this Saturday, October 9, the first rounds of the XXVII New Designers competition were also held, in which a total of 4,500 euros in prizes will be distributed and 24 young people who are taking their first steps in the world of fashion will participate.
Later, the 'Great Designers' arrived, who on this occasion are: Amaya Fernández, Ana Cabranes, Bikkos, Claudina Mata, Dolores Cortés, Edith del Valle, Esteban Freiría, José Mateos, Lalacó Atelier, Sara Lage, and María Campaña, a local firm.
To end the day, the Mostra do Encaixe catwalk hosted the presentation of the 'Xira no Camiño' by the Paris de Noia orchestra, which filled the Port of Camariñas with music with a special concert for the XXX Mostra do Encaixe.
