Confirmations continue for the 'ArtEncaixe' parade, in this case with two artisans who are repeating at the XXXIII Camariñas Lace Fair, Provincial Council of A Coruña: Suso Calo and the local firm Ondas do Mar.
Suso Calo, specialized in silver crafts and carving, believes that “lace adds a touch of creativity” to his creations and gives as an example “lace earrings with a silver frame, an almost exclusive piece for Camariñas”.
This year he will give “maximum prominence to lace, there are no axes but of course there will be some surprise accessories” and he emphasizes that the Mostra “is an essential event for me due to the good response I receive from the public”.
For her part, Josefina Campaña from Camariña, from Ondas do Mar, repeats that “I never thought my people would value my work so much”. I felt valued, loved and embraced, so returning to the Mostra means giving a thousand thanks to my people”, she says. D
“My lace from Camariñas, because as a Camariñana I do my own thing, brings light, life, freshness and, above all, innovation,” emphasizes Josefina Campaña, who continues that this year “I will bring light and life to the Show, through our lace. There is no other explanation.”
