Today is the turn for the confirmations of the always surprising 'ArtEncaixe' parade, in this case with three artisans who are once again participating in the XXXVI Camariñas Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coruña: Lola Logaro, Ana Miguens and Viviana Araujo.
Lola Logaro, textile artisan who made her debut on the catwalk of the Mostra in the previous edition, explains that "coming back means giving me a second chance, it was a very good experience, I felt very valued about my work". The collection he presents this year is called 'Primrose' and is inspired by spring. "I work with a mixture of alpaca with wool, silk and mohair together with lace from Camariñas and it is inspired by the colors of spring", she points out.
"There is a shawl and a stole, a bolero, a sweater-shirt and a vest. This collection conveys the freshness and elegance of the season through soft and harmonious tones, which evoke nature in full bloom. It is an ode to spring, to femininity and to creativity," he says.
Ana Miguens, creator of jewelry and costume jewelry, returns to Camariñas with her '14' collection, "the reference number of the lace that I use and which also has a personal meaning", made up of four necklaces: the 'Maios' necklace, representing one of the great festivals of Galicia; the Camelle necklace, dedicated to the German Man; the 'A Caramiña' necklace, the plant that gives Camariñas its name; and the 'Cantareira' color, with pieces that recall the ferreñas of the tambourines of the cantareiras. "Applying lace to a piece of jewelry is always complex, for it to have its place, many hours of obsessive work, preparation and testing are required", she says.
Viviana Araujo, from 'Estilo Aramar', returns another year to the Mostra, something that for her is "a real pride, it's always a challenge to incorporate the technique we use in our crafts but it's wonderful to see the finished pieces afterwards". He explains that "this year I will wear pieces made with feathers, flowers...".
