Thirty-five promising fashion designers will participate in the XXX New Designers Competition of the Camariñas Lace Fair 

Today, the nine finalist designers of this event were announced, who belong to schools from different parts of Galicia and Spain. In total, there are 30 finalist collections.

The City Council of Camariñas made public today, Friday, December 15, the list of the 35 finalists who will participate in the XXX New Designers Competition, which will be held during the XXXIII Camariñas Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coruña. 

The jury selected from the total number of memoirs, those of the following designers:

  • Sophia Hecht Suarez (Salinas, Asturias)
  • Tania Conde Farroco (Lalín, Pontevedra)
  • Uxia Loureiro Caamaño (Ponteareas, Pontevedra)
  • Veronica Mari Granda (Lugo)

Most of the selected people belong to the following schools: AESD Valencia, AESD Valdelomar Granada, EASD Mestre Mateo de Santiago de Compostela, EMAO de Vigo, Escuela Goymar A Coruña, IES Santa Engracia Madrid, Escuela Javier Barroeta de Bilbao, IES Silvera Font de Valencia, Estación Diseño Granada and ESNE Asturias. 

A total of 30 collections will be paraded on the catwalk of the XXXIII Mostra do Encaixe de Camariñas and the councilor of Encaixe, Encarna Liñeiro, wanted to “congratulate each and every member of this final selection and whose involvement is always an addition to an event that has great relevance at an international level”. “The jury will once again have a very, very difficult role in being able to select the winners”, they admit.
