Galician designer Franco Quintáns will resume his idyll with Camariñas at the XXXII Mostra do Encaixe Diputación de A Coruña, since even though last year he participated as a jury member in the New Designers competition, it had been more than 5 years since he presented a collection on the catwalk of the Víctor Vigo pavilion.
There he will show four sets from his 'Motomami' collection, made up of party dresses in which he applies lace from Camariñas and, as he himself indicates, his competition will be "a renaissance, returning to my origins and where it all began, since my first fashion show was in Camariñas".
Due to life circumstances, Quintáns was unable to participate in previous editions, but this time around he is "especially excited, in a place that welcomes you like a home and where you always want to return," he explained.
"Camariñas Lace brings richness, highlights the garment in which it is applied and grants it authenticity, tradition and craftsmanship. We have to promote craftsmanship, which has a lot to say about Galicia and the Galician people", emphasizing that "we can never lose our tradition".
