The City Council of Camariñas will organize the second virtual edition of the Camariñas Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coruña, which presents new features compared to last year and on this occasion will change its operation to focus on the commercialization of lace and the publication of fashion shows from the different catwalks.
The aim of this event is to market lace and promote the work that local businesses do annually in this field. Therefore, from March 31 to April 4, participating stalls will offer a series of lace products through Facebook and Instagram, which will have special offers on those dates.
On the other hand, each participating collection will produce a video with the aim of showing their designs with the application of lace. What does not change with respect to last year is the broadcasting platform, the Virtual Exhibition will be broadcast through the page of Facebook of the Show, from Instagram and also from Youtube channel.
Another of the novelties presented in this second edition are the dates. As it could not be otherwise, there will be a Virtual Exhibition during Easter since from March 31 to April 4, the participants in the Young Designers competition will be the ones to disseminate their innovative creations. Already in September, and with the intention of functioning as a prelude to the XXX Lace Exhibition to be held in October, the videos of the Great Designers and Artencaixe will be published.
The mayor of Camariñas, Sandra Insua, thanked "the effort of the Mostra department to devise, yet another year, a way so that we would not have an Easter without a wedding and thus the wait until October will certainly be shorter."
For her part, the councilor of the Mostra, Encarna Liñeiro, highlighted the importance of "keeping the tradition alive since throughout the country and especially in Galicia, Easter is always related to the Mostra do Encaixe and we cannot lose that feeling."
Finally, the director of the Mostra, Dolores Lema, wanted to highlight that "as this virtual event is designed, it will allow the marketing and promotion of lace, a fundamental element in the family economy of our region."

The Virtual Encaixe Exhibition was born in 2020 as an alternative to the suspension of the thirtieth edition of the physical event due to the health context generated by the expansion of COVID-19.
At that time, all the groups involved in the regular operation of the event were involved. A block schedule was drawn up, following a structure similar to that of the regular event calendar, and which included specific slots for Great Designers, Young Designers, Artencaixe, Pequencaixe, Xuntanzas Palilleiras, International Delegations, Companies, Artists, Volunteers, Stands and Media.
The Lace Show Department asked all these groups
that they send their videos introducing themselves and transmitting encouragement and strength
to meet again and face the thirtieth edition with even more enthusiasm
of the event.
The data was spectacular. An audience of 237,962 users who viewed the 175 videos from their homes from Wednesday to Sunday.
