At the closing ceremony, the councilor of Encaixe, Encarna Liñeiro, stated that "the Mostra is an event that preserves its purest essence, but that has known how to evolve, grow and adapt to new times without losing its identity. Years ago it stopped being just a showcase for crafts, today it is a reference catwalk in the world of fashion, recognized throughout the country."

In his speech he stressed that “this year our 'Mar de Piques' represented that collective strength, that craftsmanship made of saltpeter and talent that identifies us. Because here, among piques, designs, books, concerts and a lot of emotion… we continue to weave the future. We have spent days listening to the sound of the chopsticks, seeing smiles, exchanging words with the public, with the exhibitors, with the pickers… and we all agree: Camariñas has something unique. And for that reason, we will return next year, with new ideas, new projects and the same enthusiasm as always”.
