"I want the newbies to see that a guy like me, who was on their side in the competition, can now be with the big firms and that is very important because goals can be achieved through work and sacrifice," explains the designer.

Jorge de Álvarez, who has been living a very busy past few months after being in charge of dressing the Tanxugueiras for their performance in the contest that gave access to Eurovision, feels “happy because at the Mostra they count on me to be part of the jury and to be able to present my new collection”. “It is a pride because it was the place where I was born, so to speak”, he confesses.

The collection that he will bring to the Mostra is “about the personal wars that most people suffer and that are not seen but are there, the costumes are inspired by military clothing from different eras”.
