The Mostra do Encaixe Provincial Council of A Coruña announced this morning the programming for its thirty-sixth edition, which will be held from October 8 to 12, 2021 and which will be inaugurated on Friday itself at 5:00 p.m. with the celebration of an institutional event.
That same day, at 3:30 p.m., there will be a meeting of lacemakers from the Costa da Morte with a gift from the Cerdeimar Group, where the Municipal Kindergartens will participate. At 6:00 p.m., there will be the PequEncaixe parade, to later give way to the presentation of the signature catwalk with the international model Damián Álvarez. The day will close at 9:00 p.m.
For the second day, which will begin on Saturday, October 9 at 11:00, a new meeting of lacemakers is planned and at 12:30 the New Designers are expected to make contact with the catwalk. In the afternoon, the second group will parade at 16:00 and at 17:30 the participants in the ArtEncaixe and “De Mujer a Mujer” sections of the Egueire NGO will take to the catwalk. At 19:30 the Great Designers parade will be held.
The Sunday day will begin again at 11:00 with a meeting of lacemakers and lacemakers, and there will be a recognition of the lacemakers who have participated in the thirty editions of this Mostra. At 11:30, the online sales platform of the Camariñas City Council will be presented: MerCamariñas. At 12:15, the equipment of the Camariñas Handball Lace Exhibition will be presented with a recognition to Alan Fuentes for his career in the Camariñas Handball Club.
This event will give way to the PequEncaixe parade and then to the Great Designers parade. At 5:00 p.m., it's time for the "New Designers A" parade with the presence of the jury, and at 6:30 p.m., the "New Designers B" parade, also with the presence of the jury, made up of illustrious names in design at an international level. At 8:00 p.m., the 'Let's Talk Fashion' meeting between great and new designers will take place. The day will close at 9:00 p.m.
For the last day of this XXX Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coruña, the lacemakers and lacemakers will open again at 11:00 with their meeting. The parade of “New Designers A and B” is scheduled for 12:00 and later the prizes of the XXVII New Designers Competition will be awarded. At 17:00 the diplomas will be awarded to the participating stands and at 17:30 the ArtEncaixe and “De Mujer a Mujer” parade, by the NGO Egueire, will take place. At 18:00 the gifts from Mez-Fabra and the City Council of Camariñas will be delivered to the Municipal Infant Schools.
At 6:30 p.m. the prizes for the Mostra do Encaixe Chess Tournament will be awarded and at 7:30 p.m. the ceremony of gratitude to the participants in the recordings of the promotional videos of the II Virtual Mostra will be held. There will be a PequEncaixe, Senior Lacemakers and Great Designers parade. The event is scheduled to close with the presentation of the XXXI Mostra do Encaixe poster and the performance of Belém Tajes from Camariña.
Two pavilions
This edition, the Mostra will have two additional modular buildings. Pavilion A will host the exhibition paying tribute to the international stands and the collection of Yolanda Román, winner of the 1st Prize of the XXVI New Designers Competition and also of the exhibition “Modo de trabalhar o liño” by the AVP O Santiaguiño de Zas.
In pavilion B there will be a retrospective exhibition dedicated to the promotional posters of the Mostra do Encaixe, folk performances, cafeteria service and craft workshops for girls and boys. On Tuesday, October 12, attendees will be able to watch a 3D projection on the Encaixe and the City Council of Camariñas, from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 21:00.
