The urban aesthetics of Innamoretto and the Atlantic fashion of elPulpo come together on the Great Designers catwalk of the 35th Lace Exhibition

Galician label elPulpo returns after its success in 2024 and expands its designs with feminine proposals for its 'Teen' line with its capsule collection "Encaixe de Amor". Asturian duo Innamoretto debuts at the event to fuse 'streetwear', classic tailoring and leather with the tradition of the palilleiras.

The Great Designers' catwalk of the XXXV edition of the Camariñas Lace Fair of the Provincial Council of A Coruña will present two proposals that, from very different approaches, demonstrate the immense versatility of lace in current fashion. The event will feature the long-awaited return of the Galician brand elPulpo and the great debut of the Asturian firm Innamoretto.

After surprising in 2024 by proving that lace has a huge gap in today's fashion, theOctopus returns to Camariñas to celebrate this 35th anniversary as a tribute to its roots and Galicia. For the brand, being part of this event is an honor and a privilege to be able to include such a traditional and special art that is intertwined with its vision of fashion.

This year, the elPulpo design team has developed four special proposals. The big news is that, after presenting only men's pieces in their last participation, this time they have diversified and expanded their designs with the female audience in mind through their elPulpo Teen line.

In its men's offerings, the brand gives a twist to the most casual garments by reinterpreting its iconic logo and applying lace details to the upper garments, playing with romantic and sophisticated elements that are unusual in men's fashion. In the women's segment, they have opted to customize the Teen line with a boho and casual aesthetic, reflecting styles typical of any Galician coastal town in the summer.

Canle explains that the capsule collection, named “Encaixe de Amor”, “will be the perfect mix between tradition and modernity, with a clear predominance of blues and greens (colors of Galician nature) on light and comfy fabrics”. “In addition, this collaboration reinforces our philosophy of slow fashion and sustainability, betting on respectful practices and recognizing that the technique of palilleiras is a living art”, he adds.

Innamoretto: the contrast of 'streetwear' and craftsmanship

Sharing the catwalk will be Innamoretto, a brand that officially debuts in this great showcase and is driven by two young Asturians passionate about fashion and leather. Their philosophy is based on creating handmade and unique garments (many custom-made), combining leather with other fabrics and taking inspiration from music, sports or different eras.

The firm stands out for fusing urban style with classic tailoring. According to the designers, Ignacio Muñoz and Claudia González, mixing traditional Camariñas lace with such a contemporary aesthetic is very fun for them, as it allows them to play with contrasts, combine contemporary fashion with craftsmanship and bring these techniques to new generations.

Although they already knew the Mostra as spectators, presenting their own collection represents their true “starting point” as designers. True to their style, they prefer to keep the surprise about the garments that will go up on the catwalk, but they assure that they will seek to break the mold so that the public is left with the feeling of seeing something very original, different from previous years, and eager to discover their future projects.
