The Lace Exhibition with the STOF FA Association

The XXXI Mostra do Encaixe de Camariñas Deputación de A Coruña also has a charitable aspect. This year, the organization decided to collaborate with the STOF FA Association, an entity that supports people affected by ataxia nationwide, to contribute to continuing the research that is being carried out to advance the treatment of the disease.

This initiative was born from the request that María Jesús González Souto, mother of a boy with ataxia and member of STOP FA, sent to the mayor of Camariñas, Sandra Insua, to articulate some way to raise funds for the association.

To raise funds, there is a stand in the Mostra pavilion where you can buy different items of clothing, products, raffles or make donations to STOP FA. In addition, the City Council has provided a lace shawl, which is sold at this charity stand.

On the other hand, the contract corresponding to the concerts of the Dominican Combo, which is scheduled for Sunday, and Irma Macías and guitarist Xaquín Rama, which took place at the inauguration of the event, will be donated entirely to STOF FA.
