More talent for the ArtEncaixe shows: Suso Calo – Lobo Tolo, Ondas do Mar and Mariví Santos Atelier

The first will bring to the Pasarela Deputación de A Coruña “pieces inspired by goddesses; it will be a very different collection to all the ones I have presented”, states the author. Josefina Campaña states that “the Camariñas Lace is the center of Ondas do mar; it is not added as a detail, but is the soul that gives life to each design”. For her part, Mariví Santos, a palilleira from Porto do Son, will participate in the Mostra for the first time with a collection with her own label.

The Camariñas Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coruña, which will celebrate its thirty-fourth edition from April 16 to 20, brings together a wide range of talent in its stands, in its gastronomic spaces and also in the different parade modalities.

Thus, at the Pasarela Deputación de A Coruña we will be able to see unique pieces from the hands of artisans such as Suso Calo, Josefina Campaña and Mariví Santos, who join the rest of the confirmations for the scope of ArtEncaixe.

Crazy Wolf is one alter that Suso Calo was created to represent his alternative jewelry pieces. To do this, he uses materials that are not common in traditional jewelry, such as bone, titanium, steel or bronze.

In the 2025 collection, the fourth that he presents to the public at the Mostra, we will be able to see pieces inspired by mythology. “Lace brings an attractive variety to jewelry pieces, and when you get a little attached to it, it flows naturally. This year for the catwalk it is thematic again; the decorative accessories disappear, the earrings will have custom-made lace appliques, combined with mother-of-pearl, titanium and silver and will break molds with respect to the previous ones”, says Suso Calo.

Sea Waves born from the desire to express, through design, what Galicia and the soul of the author inspire her. Always paying tribute to her roots, Josefina Campaña reminds the world with a new look without losing a bit of her soul.

The Camariñas lace is the center of Sea Waves. Creativity is the essence of this firm, and that makes the integration of each piece natural, fluid and full of meaning. Each creation is born from respect for tradition, but also from a new, free and strong perspective.

“This year Sea Waves arrives at the Mostra do Encaixe with much to tell, and even more to feel. Camariñas will be, once again, the stage where tradition and fantasy go hand in hand, with threads that dance and stories that intertwine. I can only say that Encaixe will be the protagonist, and that the heart of our land will beat stronger than ever”, says its creator.

Mariví Santos, a lacemaker from Porto do Son, is a regular at the Camariñas Lace Exhibition, Provincial Council of A Coruña. She teaches and makes lace in her workshop, Mariví Santos Atelier
“This year I am particularly excited to participate for the first time as Marivi SantosWorkshop, and present my own collection. I am passionate about Camariñas Lace, but what I like most is applying it to fashion accessories. That is why my collection is based on pieces where, in addition to Lace, I apply other techniques, such as hat making, featherwork or dyeing and molding flowers. I hope you like it and see you at the Camariñas Lace Show”, proudly declares Mariví.
