Mariví Santos and Zeltia ao Aire will merge Camariñas lace with accessories for the ceremony

The first will design items such as bags or headpieces; the second, pieces for brides.

Mariví Santos and Zeltia ao Aire are other names that will make up the ArtEncaixe catwalk at the XXXV Camariñas Lace Exhibition, Provincial Council of A Coruña. The former will design items such as bags or headdresses, to which she will apply lace. The latter will do the same with bridal pieces.

“"For me it was a great experience to participate last year in the Mostra, where we showed our craftsmanship on such a relevant catwalk and seeing the models wearing your pieces in motion makes you feel proud of what you are doing. For me the challenge of combining different disciplines is to make the lace shine even more, giving greater importance to the garment", says Santos.

For her part, Zeltia points out that “my pieces must be seen integrated, as if they were the same type of work. What I did for Camariñas is treat them as if they were openwork embroidery, integrating them in such a way that you have to be very attentive to see that conjunction, as a connection that makes sense and in which nothing stands out. I will wear four pieces for a bride, but for a very special bride, and I can read that far.”.

The times when you can see the ArtEncaixe fashion shows on the Deputación de A Coruña catwalk are:

  • Thursday, April 2 at 12:45 (group A) and 6:00 p.m. (group B).
  • Friday, April 3 at 12:45 (group B) and 4:45 p.m. (group A).
  • Saturday April 4 at 12:30 (group A) and at 6:00 pm (group B).
