Esteban Freiría and Claudina Mata, at the XXXIII Camariñas Lace Exhibition

The Galician designer based in Marbella, Esteban Freiría, will present a collection in which he mixes urban fashion with lace. The Granada-based Claudina Mata will present her new bridal collection, inspired by the cabaret style of the 50s.

More confirmations for the Great Designers' parade at the XXXIII Camariñas Lace Fair. Once again, the Galician designer based in Marbella, Esteban Freiría, and the Granada designer, Claudina Mata, return to the Camariñas catwalk, the fashion capital during Easter.

Esteban Freiría, who was in charge of designing the poster for this edition of the Mostra, will present a collection in which he wanted to mix urban fashion with lace. "I wanted to make a modern, young collection, with dyed, hand-painted lace, mixed with crochet... to show that lace is not only for rugs and fashion inspired by Galicia", he explains.

"All the pieces are created using recycled fabrics, giving them a second life, and I bet on giving them a lot of color to make something more colorful. I think it's very commercial clothing," he says.

For her part, Claudina Mata will bring her brand's new bridal collection to Camariñas. "It's a very, very special collection, I think it will surprise you because there is a line that can be differentiated in the wedding dresses that are more like a cabaret in the 50s, with dresses gathered at the neck, bodice... and the lace fits perfectly with this idea", he says.

"I'm still in love with Camariñas lace, it goes very hand in hand with what I do because everything is born from tradition and good work," adds the Granada designer.
