The public was eager for the Mostra, and in these 5 days it was noticeable. The event, which turns Camariñas into the fashion capital for a few days, changed dates but not its essence and, despite the COVID Protocol designed by the organization, with a reduction in capacity, around 10,000 people came to the most anticipated Camariñas Lace Show of all time.
On the closing day, after the awards ceremony of the XXVII New Designers Competition, the public once again filled the parade pavilion to witness how well the senior lacemakers and the boys and girls of PequEncaixe were doing, a beautiful generational exchange in which, on the catwalk, the present and future of Camariñas lace took over.

In addition, attendees were also able to enjoy the lace-applied handicraft pieces that were displayed in the new section of ArtEncaixe, a new fashion show that, after its success, seems to be coming to the Mostra to stay. The Great Designers were also present, who said goodbye to Camariñas and the public until the next Mostra by performing a final show, full of celebration and emotion.
The councilor of Encaixe, Encarna Liñeiro, thanked in her speech “all the people who worked hard and got involved so that everything went well” and declared “the most awaited Mostra, which 600 days later was a reality” closed. “I am sure that, when 30 years have passed, it will continue to be lived with the same enthusiasm”, she stated.

Poster of the XXXI Lace Show
At the end, the poster for the XXXI Lace Exhibition was presented, which will be held from April 13 to 17, 2022 and in which it is hoped to recover total normality and, among other things, be able to welcome back the International Delegations that were missed so much in this edition.
The poster combines the tradition of lace, represented by the chopsticks, with the beautiful landscapes that Camariñas offers. In this case, the chopsticks rest on Monte Blanco with views of the beaches of Trece in the background. “They know us for our lace and we want them to do the same because we live in paradise,” highlighted Encarna Liñeiro.
Recognition of the Palillo Schools and Chess Tournament
On the other hand, the mayor of Camariñas, Sandra Insua, and the councilors Encarna Liñeiro, Sergio Caamaño and Fabián Canosa delivered some gifts to the children of the Palillo Schools and were also in charge of the awarding of prizes for the III Mostra do Encaixe de Camariñas Chess Tournament.
