The first virtual Encaixe Show in history reaches an audience of 230,000 users

The first virtual Encaixe Festival in history has an audience of more than 230,000 users. A total of 175 videos were uploaded from Wednesday to Sunday. Encaixe councilor Encarna Liñeiro hopes that “this will be the first step towards, in 2021, making the Festival the best edition in memory.”

The data from the first Virtual Encaixe Show in history is spectacular. An audience of 237,962 users who viewed the 175 videos from their homes from Wednesday to Sunday in the Facebook of the Show (@mencaixedecamarinas) and in Event Youtube channel.

All the usual protagonists of the Camariñas Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coruña had their place in this virtual edition. From the Great Designers to the contestants of the Young Designers competition and including volunteers, artists, Artencaixe, Pequencaixe, palilleras meetings, international delegations, institutions, companies, photographers, media, stands, folkloric groups, local police or the international model Damián Álvarez, the protagonist of this edition. In short, the whole family that is part of the Exhibition.

In addition, on Saturday night, the renowned orchestras Panorama and París de Noia wanted to participate in this Virtual Festival, which would have had to be in Camariñas that same day to put on a big party if everything had gone as normal.

The closing ceremony on Sunday corresponded to the director of the Mostra, Dolores Lema, who highlighted in her speech that “being from Camariñas and not having the Mostra held during Easter seems like a bad dream”; from an illustrious Camariñan such as the journalist Xosé Luis Blanco Campaña who highlighted that “we are already waiting for next year's wonderful Mostra” and, finally, the councilor of Encaixe, Encarna Liñeiro, expressed her wish that “this is the first step to, in 2021, make the best edition of the Mostra in memory” and thanked “all the people who feel the Mostra is something special and who also participated in this initiative”.
