The sea of piques at the XXXIV Camariñas Lace Exhibition will fill Easter

Today the program of this new edition was announced, which will take place from April 16 to 20 and which seeks to highlight the strong connection that exists in the town between the sea and lace. This edition debuts a new concept, the 'Emerging Brand', an initiative that aims to help emerging designers consolidate themselves as a brand. The performances of Fillas de Cassandra, Budiño, Soledad Vidal, Rocío Camaño, the monologue of David Amor and the four book presentations are the parallel activities.

The City Council of Camariñas today announced the long-awaited program of the XXXIV Camariñas Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coruña, which will be held from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 April and which, with the motto 'A sea of piques', seeks to highlight the strong connection that exists in the town between the sea and lace, nature and tradition.

This intention has already been reflected in the poster and promotional video, pieces created with the aim of reflecting, in a visual story, the effort and beauty of the two fundamental pillars of the town, lace and the sea, weaving a narrative that speaks of daily work, dedication and love for the land, highlighting the hands that care, create and transform.

One of the main novelties of this edition is the premiere of a new concept, that of the 'Emerging Brand', an initiative that aims to help emerging designers, who have participated in an edition of the New Designers competition and who continue to promote Camariñas lace through their work, to consolidate themselves as a brand. It will be integrated into the competition's fashion shows but will not be eligible for the prize.

The parades of this thirty-third edition will be: Great Designers, some already consolidated and other new; New Designers; Artencaixe artisans; the new parade of Emerging Firms; the International Delegations; the PequeEncaixe, and the Senior Lacemakers.
