The humor of Touriñán, protagonist of the XXXII Camariñas Lace Festival

The artist from A Coruña will present his monologue 'Aquí Tou!', which uses stories from his life in a sarcastic tone "because what you have to do is laugh at yourself to be able to laugh at anything". The comedian will perform on Saturday, April 8 at 8:30 p.m. "I had never been to the Mostra, but I have heard about it all my life and in my house there are pieces of lace bought in Camariñas", he points out.

The artist from A Coruña, Xosé Antonio Touriñán, will be one of the protagonists of the XXXII Camariñas Lace Exhibition, Provincial Council of A Coruña. The comedian will present his monologue 'Aquí Tou!' on Saturday, April 8 at 8:30 p.m., before the closing of the penultimate day of the lace meeting.

Touriñán says that those who come to see his performance “will laugh a lot”. “What I tell are stories from my life, because what you have to do is laugh at yourself and what happens to you in life to be able to laugh at anything. The monologue is built on stories from my life, some from before I was born, and also what I hope for the future, that’s what Aquí Tou is about!”, explains the comedian.

For the comedian it will be his first time at the Encaixe de Camariñas. Not only as a professional, but on a personal level. “I am from A Coruña but I have never been to the Mostra do Encaixe. It is the first time I will be in Camariñas during those days even though I have heard about it all my life”, acknowledges Touri, who points out that what is not missing in his house is lace: “Of course there is lace in my house. I don't know very well if I bought it from my grandmother or my parents, but there are pieces of lace from Camariñas in the house”.

A varied program with music, dance and folklore

Touriñán's humor completes the program of the XXXII Mostra do Encaixe de Camariñas Provincial Council of A Coruña. The comic performance of the man from A Coruña will continue the exhibition of the club 'Arte e Movemento', on Saturday at 11:30 am. The sports dance entity will put on an exhibition in which Caribbean, Latin and standard dances will be mixed.

On the other hand, on the day of the inauguration, Wednesday, April 5, before the Great Designers' parade that will close that first day (starting at 6 p.m.), DJ SON1C will premiere the dance version of the song 'Camariñas', accompanied by singer Alicia Bautis, and the music of the Danza de Arcos.

As a grand closing act for the Mostra, rapper Lopes from Camargue will perform the closing concert on Sunday the 9th at 9:00 p.m. With his performance, the local artist, who has just completed a tour of Mexico, will seek to connect with the audience and end the event on a high note.
As it could not be otherwise, during the five days, the folklore of the groups Abrindo Rejo, Con toda en banda, Vaiche Boa, Asociación Mar Devalado de Camelle and Asociación As Cansorriñas will be heard in the pavilions of the Mostra, mixed with the sound of chopsticks. There will also be the VI Encontro de Choirs in which the Coral Brisas do Mar de Corme, the Coral de Bergondo and the Coral Brisas do Mar de Camariñas will participate (Sunday 9 at 11:45 am).
