One of the references in swimwear fashion in Spain, and with international projection, will be at the Camariñas Lace Fair for another year: the Valencian Dolores Cortés is one of the last confirmations of the Great Designers parade of the XXXV Camariñas Lace Fair of the Provincial Council of A Coruña.

Dolores Cortés, the second generation of a family of artisans, began her journey in the company with a creative nonconformist spirit that still endures today. She was a pioneer in Spain in introducing computerized pattern making and automatic cutting for the manufacture of swimsuits.

It opened up to new markets and since the early 80s, the company has begun exporting to various countries. Modern and competitive, Dolores Cortés Swimwear addresses the third major challenge: achieving that the concept FASHION associated with bath products, and parade on the main catwalks.

Dolores Cortés began her career in the world of catwalks in 1999 at the Pasarela del Carmen in Valencia. She later debuted at the Pasarela Gaudí in Barcelona with her swimwear collection for summer 2002.

In 2007 she began her participation in the Cibeles Catwalk in Madrid and since 2008 she has also participated in the Gran Canaria Moda Cálida catwalk. In 2010 she was invited to participate in the most important American Moda Baño catwalk, the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim next to the Fashion Show thus starting the opening to the American market.

This same year, the Dolores Cortés firm is selected to make the swimsuits for the national Synchronized Swimming team for the World Championships in Shanghai.

Dolores Font Cortés is currently president of the Association of Fashion Designers of the Valencian Community. (DIMOVA). In 2012 she worked with the National Synchronized Swimming Team for the London Olympic Games, designing some of the swimsuits entirely and manufacturing them all. This team won two medals, one silver and one bronze, with the silver scale model, designed and manufactured entirely by the Valencian designer, being particularly applauded.
