'Camariñas is in fashion', the XXXII Lace Fair claims the relevance of its catwalk, lace and the territory

The thirty-second edition of the Mostra, which was presented to the public today at FITUR at the Turespaña stand, highlights the influence of its fashion catwalk, the application of lace as a complement and in the clothes and landscapes of the municipality. The promotional video takes a tour of all the parishes of the municipality through a red catwalk, in which volunteers and volunteers of the Mostra parade. Sandra Insua encouraged visitors to come to Camariñas during Easter “to get to know our tradition” and assured that “you will be eager to repeat to learn more about who we are and all the good that surrounds us”.

The International Tourism Fair (FITUR) that is being held these days in IFEMA (Madrid) is once again the place chosen by the City Council of Camariñas to present the XXXII edition of the Camariñas Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coruña, which will be held from April 5 to 9 and which, with the slogan 'Camariñas is in fashion', wants to claim the relevance of its fashion catwalk and the application of lace as an accessory and in clothing.

This edition redoubles its commitment to highlighting the ancient tradition of Camariñas lace as a fashion element that is at the forefront and is being used by many of the most recognized designers nationally. To do this, the Camariñas Lace Show wants to use an incomparable setting such as the beautiful and imposing landscapes of the municipality.

At the presentation, held at the Tourespaña stand, the promotional video was shown for the first time, in which, through a red catwalk on which several volunteers from the Mostra who were available at the time of recording parade in lace, a tour is made, hand in hand with the palilleiras, through the most recognizable places of each of the parishes that make up the municipality: Camariñas, Camelle, Arou, Santa Mariña, Xaviña and Ponte do Porto.

The end of the video, like the image on the poster for this thirty-second edition, is with the catwalk arriving in Reira to witness the most recognizable landscape of Camariñas in the world: Cabo Vilán and its Lighthouse, flanked by the imposing and wild Atlantic Ocean.
All the parishes and emblematic places of the municipality are represented in this audiovisual piece:

The mayor of Camariñas, Sandra Insua, stated that “our slogan this year is more than a slogan, it is a reality” and explained that “Camariñas is fashionable thanks to our catwalk, known all over the world and which, for a few days, makes us the national capital of fashion, thanks to lace, an ancient tradition that has been able to adapt to now be an avant-garde element that great designers apply in their creations to give them value, and thanks also to our territory because we already said it last year, and we remain convinced, that paradise is in Camariñas”.

“Camariñas is in fashion, and we want you to come and check it out. We want you to come and learn about our tradition, enjoying the entire program of activities surrounding the Mostra do Encaixe, and you will be left wanting to come back to learn more about who we are and all the good things that surround us. I hope it doesn't sound presumptuous on my part, but we are sure that you will come back”, he concluded.

The XXXXII Lace Fair will continue in line with recent years, focusing on innovation and integration of lace into different Galician crafts in addition to fashion shows with the presence of some of the best designers in the country and also the promises of the design world with the young designers competition.
