The City Council of Camariñas returns, for another year, to the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) held at IFEMA (Madrid) to present, next Thursday at 5:30 pm at the Turespaña stand, its tourism campaign for this year and the XXXIV Camariñas Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coruña.
The mayor of Camariñas, Sandra Insua, will be in charge of announcing the promotional tourist video and the motif chosen for the poster for this edition of the Mostra, which will be held during Easter from April 17 to 20.
The mayor says that “both the video and the poster are very linked to our land and our tradition, due to their theme and because they are made and starred by residents of Camariñas and Costa da Morte”. “I am looking forward to the time when it will be made public, I am sure people will like it”, she says.
Screens in the center of Madrid
As has been customary in recent years, and with the aim of contributing to the tourist promotion of the event and the municipality, the XXXIV edition of the Mostra will be held in the heart of Madrid. Thus, taking advantage of the presence at FITUR, the City Council has scheduled the tourist video to be projected throughout the week on the large digital screens of Callao and Gran Vía and those of the frequented Mercado de San Miguel, where the poster for the Mostra will also be visible.
The objective of this advertising campaign is to continue promoting tourism in Camariñas outside our borders, alongside the Mostra do Encaixe, to attract a greater number of visitors throughout the year.
More promotional actions
As a novelty this year, the presentation at the Turespaña stand will be used to unveil the official t-shirt of the thirty-fourth edition of the Mostra, which this year will once again be designed by the Galician designer based in Marbella, Esteban Freiría.
Furthermore, within the agenda that the Camariñas expedition has planned for Fitur, a meeting is scheduled at the stand of the Community of Madrid with representatives of the Valdemorillo City Council, to study a possible collaboration between the two municipalities, united by the tradition of lace and toothpicks.
