The renowned soprano Soledad Vidal will perform at the XXXIV Camariñas Lace Festival Provincial Council of A Coruña

The artist, originally from Camelle, and pianist Aurelio Viribay will provide the soundtrack to the event with their show 'Cantares Atlánticos'.

One of the announcements that the Camariñas City Council expedition, led by the mayor, Sandra Insua, made at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) was the presence of the renowned soprano Soledad Vidal, originally from Camelle, at the XXXIV Camariñas Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coruña.

The artist, together with pianist Aurelio Viribay, will provide the soundtrack to the event with her show 'Cantares Atlánticos'. Through Galician poetry and evocative images, the songs - such as “María Soliña” or “Lela” - weave different stories of overcoming. The audience will accompany the performers on a moving journey in which tribute is paid to all those women who, beyond pain and loss, build their lives with courage; the portrait of a Galicia, of a people that is capable of looking at its shadow, its “Black Shadow”, in order to celebrate life.

Soledad Vidal explains that "the sea of the Costa da Morte draws our coastline in the shape of a Camariñas lace like an authentic toothpick. That same "Mar de Piques" is the driving force and inspiration of our music."
