The Mostra will premiere a unique crafts parade this year, the 'ArtEncaixe'

This catwalk will have its own space in the program. At the moment, nine artisans have been confirmed, who will come from all over Galicia to present their creations at the XXX Camariñas Lace Fair Provincial Council of A Coruña

The Camariñas Lace Fair does not want to fall into a routine and every year seeks to reinvent itself but always without losing its essence. For this thirtieth edition of the event, the organization has devised a new parade: the 'ArtEncaixe', where artisans from different parts of Galicia will demonstrate that lace is versatile and can be adapted to different materials.

Seven artisans have been confirmed to parade in this handicraft catwalk for the moment. Participation is not yet closed, so all those specialists who wish to do so can contact the Camariñas City Council to manage their inclusion in the 'ArtEncaixe'. A preview of what the already confirmed participants will bring:

Janet S. – JANET & SCHULZ (Vigo)

Bridal and guest headpieces, fusing the style of the 1920s with the current one and trying to give a modern air to the use of materials that already have an antique look, such as tulle, feathers or lace.

Julia de la Cal – La Parabólica (The Porriño)

A collection of accessories inspired by Galician maritime culture, designed by combining traditional elements of basketry, lace and weaving to create pieces adapted to contemporary fashion.

Silvereira (Teo)

They make wooden earrings. For the show, they will look to incorporate lace into earrings of different sizes and also into pendants or brooches.

Viviana Araújo – Aramar Style (Pontevedra)

Viviana Araújo is multidisciplinary as she works on different unique products such as turbans for people undergoing chemotherapy, wedding headdresses, feather art, slate or felt accessories… to which she applies innovative techniques such as ice dyeing or botanical printing (dyeing with natural flowers and leaves). Her collection will include pieces such as coats, a corset with skirt, a pareo that comes with a bag and a turban…

Pilar Rodríguez – En La (Monforte de Lemos)

He dedicates himself to making accessories from wool, silk or linen, manually using techniques such as pressed or manually felted wool to which different dyeing and printing techniques are applied, such as botanical printing.

Charo López Atelier (Vedra)

Charo López has already participated in the Mostra in other years, making headpieces for designers such as Amaya Blanco, and will repeat this year in both shows.

Ana Miguêns (Vilagarcía de Arousa)

This will be the first time that Ana Miguêns presents a collection on a catwalk, but it is not the first time that she has made pieces with Camariñas lace. In 2011 she began her work with pieces made in polymer clay related to Galician culture and already has several pieces inspired by Camariñas such as the necklaces 'Flor da Caramiña', 'Faro Vilán' and 'Camariñas.

For 'ArtEncaixe' she will bring four necklaces, each with different colors and applied lace, in which the designs of flowers or leaves predominate. The creation process will consist of preparing flowers in translucent clay to embroider on the lace.

Noelia Peña Jewels (Sanxenxo)

Noelia makes designer jewelry, exclusive pieces in which she uses materials such as silver, copper or brass. At the Mostra she will present a sophisticated collection for the evening or for special events that will include large earrings, large necklaces and a bag. All in silver and ochre colors applied to the lace.

Sandra Rego – Amorote (Boiro)

Sandra works with relief printing, also experimenting with other coloring techniques, such as 'tye dye', which she will apply in her creations along with lace for the collection she will present at the Exhibition.
