Local talent will be very present at the XXXV Camari\u00f1as Lace Fair Provincial Council of A Coru\u00f1a in the brands FitsT<\/em>, Masquerade 'The Little Sleeper'\u2018 <\/em>and January of Toba, <\/em>who will participate in the parades of ArtEncaixe at the V\u00edctor Vigo pavilion from April 1 to 5, 2026.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The people who make up the Masquerade Association 'O Cansorri\u00f1o'\u2018<\/strong> They define themselves as \u201ca group of people born for and by Carnival. This year we carried out the theme of Lace with everything handmade by us and made by the members of the troupe. So once the costumes were finished and we saw the results achieved, we thought of the idea of showing them on the runway of the Mostra do Encaixe and giving them the value that our makers deserved after so much work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They state that "our intention is to bring to the catwalk the same energy that we feel with traditional music, but transforming it into movement and elegance. To demonstrate that the tradition and culture of our people do not conflict with the present, and we believe that the design itself will surprise because it not only carries Lace, but also represents all the instruments that are used to achieve that lace such as alf\u00eds, bobbins, spools of thread, etc...".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noem\u00ed Toba, a Cutting and Dressmaking student at the Aury P\u00e9rez Academy, will parade with her brand, January of Toba<\/em><\/strong> <\/em>and her collection \u201cInterludio.\u201d The name, according to this girl from Camari\u00f1as, \u201cis perfect since I am at a very different time than last year, exploring a more personal aesthetic, more connected to the clothes I would wear myself,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Linked to the world of fashion from a very young age and after last year's 'full-color' collection, in this thirty-fifth edition she wanted to give a 180-degree turn to her original idea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese new pieces were created for the Mostra catwalk, but they could perfectly be useful in everyday life. It has a very personal essence because it is linked to the way I like to dress. The color palette is my favorite, the ones I use to dress: white, black and silver.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FitsT<\/em><\/strong> was born in 2018 with the idea of \u201cbringing Camari\u00f1as lace to everyday life. We incorporate lace into everyday life, seeking that this traditional craft could be part of our clothing for daily life. Thus were born casual t-shirts with varied designs in many shapes and colors, which can be worn for any occasion and which never go out of fashion.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c"Since those beginnings, our designs have evolved at the same pace as fashion. We always maintain the essence because lace is our protagonist, but we experiment with new shapes, new fabrics and different appliqu\u00e9s, integrating it into more current pieces. The idea remains the same: to give value to tradition and bring it closer to new generations through contemporary fashion," they point out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being part of the 35th edition of the Camari\u00f1as Lace Exhibition \u201cis a great honor for us on the one hand, because it means that we are still there after 8 years of travel and on the other hand, it is an opportunity to continue to make Camari\u00f1as lace visible and demonstrate that it can continue to evolve and be part of current fashion. Participating in the Exhibition is, in a way, returning to the origins and sharing with the public our commitment to this unique craft.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, they point out from the local brand, "we take a step back towards our roots with the collection ORIGIN<\/strong>, a proposal that focuses on the essence of Camari\u00f1as lace and the identity of FitsT<\/em>. "We believe that lace should dialogue with light and the body, that it should be the essence on the skin, a visual metaphor of how tradition and modernity fit together and that memory should always be part of that transformation."\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our collection will feature 6 t-shirt designs in which we wanted to return to the starting point: put lace at the center, let it be the protagonist and reinterpret it from a more contemporary perspective, drawing shapes on the body and letting the light and history that its threads hold shine through. ORIXE is born from the place where everything begins and from the memory that remains in the lace of Camari\u00f1as.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
