The City Council of Camari\u00f1as has just published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) the bases of the XXXI New Designers competition for the XXXI Camari\u00f1as Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coru\u00f1a, which will be held between April 16 and 20, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main objective of the competition is to encourage and promote the application of Camari\u00f1as lace in fashion. The main novelty of this edition is that prizes will be awarded, based on the assessment of the official jury, to the four best collections instead of three, as had been the case until now. The first prize will consist of 2,100 euros, the second of 1,200 euros, the third of 700 euros and the fourth of 500 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deadline for submitting works begins today, Monday, September 2, and ends on December 2, 2024.<\/strong> The four designs that make up the collection must have Camari\u00f1as lace applied and those that present a different lace will not be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All new designers, between 18 and 40 years old, regardless of their nationality or country of residence, can participate in the call, as long as they are students who are studying in centers that teach design and clothing techniques, whether or not they have completed their studies; and all those people linked to the world of design who, although being professional in the field of fashion, due to maintaining a contractual or autonomous relationship with a company in the sector, are not part of the design team of the same. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation may be done individually or in a group, in the latter case the maximum number of members being three people. Each applicant will present a collection composed of 4 designs. The theme and modality are free for both men's and women's fashion. Children's fashion designs are excluded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To submit the documentation, it can be done at the Camari\u00f1as Town Hall, Insuela Square, number 57, during office hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and by certified mail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The councilor of Encaixe, Encarna Li\u00f1eiro, hopes that "one more year, the girls and boys who participate in the contest will continue to maintain the high level shown in previous editions" and encourages them to "continue betting on lace as an avant-garde element".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
