One of the novelties of this new edition of the Camari\u00f1as Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coru\u00f1a, the 'ReEnc\u00e1ixame' catwalk, confirms two new additions to this show. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are Cris Garc\u00eda and Luz Prado, who will reinterpret the collections with which they participated in the New Designers competition, a condition without fail<\/em> to join this new point of the extensive programming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cris Garc\u00eda participated in the Mostra in 2017 with his 'Sereas' collection. Now, this 2024 he is reissuing his designs under the umbrella of 'Sereas II'. "I started a little from the idea of recycling my creations. Ribbons are back, for example, and the idea is to contextually adapt to what is being worn now."\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The young designer, who was of legal age when she was in Camari\u00f1as, shows her "excitement to return, since I find myself at a time when I am also 're-establishing myself' professionally and I have wonderful memories of my time at the Mostra. I am looking forward to returning", she adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For her part, Luz Prado, who participated in the 2018 Noveis Dese\u00f1adores catwalk, will transform the 'Askalapta' collection, which is a collection made in faux fur, a sustainable material "that helps reduce the environmental impact and stops the slaughter of animals," according to the designer herself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new collection, which will be released under the name 'Despertar', will be the fusion of the collection presented in Camari\u00f1as and a previous reissue, 'Ardora', made in biodegradable cotton and silk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI always make the lace by hand, since it is a handcrafted product, with a lot of care and attention, which is also noticeable when it comes to using it again,\u201d announces Luz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of the fashion show is to encourage designers to reinterpret an outdated collection by reusing both the fabrics and lace from Camari\u00f1as. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They must show how they reinterpret and transform garments into a new collection with a focus on reusing materials and reducing waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People who, whether or not they are fashion professionals, have participated in the Young Designers Competition of the Camari\u00f1as Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coru\u00f1a in any of its 29 editions participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
