The City Council of Camari\u00f1as today announced the long-awaited program of the XXXIII Camari\u00f1as Lace Exhibition of the Provincial Council of A Coru\u00f1a, which will be held from Wednesday 27 to Sunday 31 March and which, with the motto 'Camari\u00f1as Surprende', wants to vindicate lace as a valuable element for getting to know the municipality, as well as the festivals, traditions, landscapes and gastronomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This intention has already been reflected in the poster, the work of the Galician designer based in Marbella, Esteban Freir\u00eda, which seeks a change of trend with respect to the image of previous editions and makes it very clear what the Mostra e lace is today: modernity and avant-garde. The poster seeks to imitate the most recognized headlines of fashion magazines and thus, on the one hand, attract the younger audience, and, on the other, put the focus on the fashion aspect rather than on the craftsmanship, which is also recognized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the main novelties of this edition is the premiere of a new fashion show, 'ReEncaixame', which seeks to encourage designers to reinterpret an outdated collection by reusing both fabrics and lace from Camari\u00f1as. They must show how they reinterpret and transform the garments into a new collection with a focus on reusing materials and reducing waste. The participants paraded in one of the 29 editions of the Mostra's New Designers Competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parades of this thirty-third edition will be: Great Designers, some already consolidated and other new; New Designers; Artencaixe artisans; the new ReEncaixame parade; the International Delegations; the PequeEncaixe, the Senior Lacemakers\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Calendar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening of the thirty-third edition of the Mostra will take place on Wednesday, March 27th at 3 p.m.,<\/strong> at which time the traditional meeting of lacemakers and lacemakers from the Costa da Morte will begin, in which students from municipal nursery schools will also participate. The opening ceremony with the authorities will be at 4:30 p.m. <\/strong>Then, from 6 pm, the first fashion shows will begin: the youngest of the 'PequEncaixe' will be in charge of stepping on the catwalk for the first time and then the Great Designers. In between, a performance by Luc\u00eda P\u00e9rez will liven up the catwalk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the five days the signatures of the category of 'Great Designers', <\/strong>which will be revealed in the coming days, <\/strong>They will take to the catwalks at the Mostra to show off their lace creations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 'ArtEncaixe' parade,<\/strong> which continues to gain ground in the programming, will premiere on Thursday, March 28, at 12:45 p.m. The artisans, who will also be getting to know each other in the coming days, will arrive from different parts of Galicia to demonstrate that lace is versatile and can be adapted to different materials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That same Thursday, March 28, the participants in the XXX New Designers Competition<\/strong> in which a total of 4,500 euros in prizes will be distributed and a total of 35 young people who are taking their first steps in the world of fashion will participate. On Friday the 29th at 8:30 pm the meeting between great and new designers will be held and on Sunday the 31st, from 7:30 pm, the jury's decision will be announced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The big news of this edition is the 'ReEnc\u00e1ixame' parade<\/strong>, will be seen for the first time on Thursday, March 28, and will be repeated on Friday, March 29, and Saturday, March 30. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once again, the international delegations will return to the Mostra. On Friday the 29th at 12:45 pm, the first parade of the 'International lacemakers' delegations'<\/strong>. They will repeat on Saturday the 30th at 6:00 p.m. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most anticipated moments of the Festival are the fashion shows. 'Small box'<\/strong>. The girls and boys of the Municipal Schools create their own lace throughout the course to later design the dresses and parade in the Mostra. They become lace makers, designers and models. In addition, this year they will receive a very special visit on Saturday, March 30, from the Bolechas, who have published a special publication, with lace as the protagonist, 'The Bolechas come to learn to lace in Camari\u00f1as', which they will deliver to the students of the School.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same thing happens in the parade of 'Senior Lacemakers of Camari\u00f1as'<\/strong> which will take place on Sunday 31st at 7:30 p.m. during the closing ceremony of the event and in which residents of the municipality show the public the creations they have made throughout the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luc\u00eda P\u00e9rez, Carlos Blanco, Hydn and Astarot and other outstanding acts in the program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year attendees will be able to enjoy the music of Luc\u00eda P\u00e9rez (on Wednesday the 27th at 6:30 p.m. during the inaugural parade of the Mostra) and laugh out loud with Carlos Blanco<\/strong> in a monologue that will take place on Saturday, March 30, at 8:30 p.m. on the catwalk itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the five days, the folklore of the villages will be heard in the pavilions of the Mostra, mixed with the sound of chopsticks. groups Abrindo Rejo, Con toda en banda, Vaiche Boa, Mar Devalado de Camelle Association and As Cansorri\u00f1as Association<\/strong>Also the VII Coral Meeting<\/strong> in which the Santa Mar\u00eda de Cambre Polyphonic Choir, the Oliveira do Monte Branco Choir and the Brisas do Mar de Camari\u00f1as Choir will participate (Sunday 31 at 12:00).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will be used for book presentation<\/strong> such as 'Querida Camari\u00f1as\u2026 Lo que deb\u00ed decirte' by Ainhoa Conde (Thursday, March 28 at 11:50 a.m.), 'Tres Imperios' by Alfonso de Sas (Thursday, March 28 at 12:20 p.m.), 'Camari\u00f1as meu curruncho e Beldo\u00f1a mi\u00f1a barca', by Antonio Puertas Lema (Friday, March 29 at 12:00 p.m.) and 'O placer da chuvia' by Manuel V\u00e1zquez (Friday, March 29 at 12:20 p.m.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The closing ceremony of the XXXIII Camari\u00f1as Lace Exhibition will take place on Sunday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

'Gourmet among laces'<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The City Council will debut a new concept at the XXXIII Mostra do Encaixe De Camari\u00f1as Provincial Council of A Coru\u00f1a: the 'Gourmet between laces', a space dedicated to the food sector in which food trucks and other types of sales stands to the public can be installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new area, which will also house the Mostra bar, will have a special environmental decoration and will have a space with tables and chairs so that the public attending the Mostra can taste the products they buy right there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the exhibition there will also be gastronomic tastings of powder, <\/strong>by Frigor\u00edficos de Camari\u00f1as (Friday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m.) and turbot<\/strong>, by Stolt Sea Farm (on Saturday, March 30 at 2 p.m.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will also be craft demonstrations<\/strong> and parents will be able to leave the little ones in the Children's Park<\/strong> with qualified monitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
