The Raquel Moreira classroom of the Museo do Encaixe has a new exhibition starting today: 'ArtEncaixe'. Two years ago, the organization of the Mostra do Encaixe Deputaci\u00f3n de A Coru\u00f1a decided to bet on the combination of lace and craftsmanship for one of its catwalks, and such was the success of this tandem that it was decided to dedicate a specific space in this museum enclave in Camargue so that visitors can see the pieces more closely. It will be installed in the room until, at least, the next edition of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are creations of Ana Miguens, Ana Freir\u00eda, Charo L\u00f3pez, Egueira ONG \u2013 Mimi La Bish, Estilo Aramar, Janet Schulz, Arteviares, Mar Barral, Noelia Pe\u00f1a, Alfarer\u00eda Lista, O Rulo, Tendataller Feituras, Obradoiro Gor\u00edn, Pilar en L\u00e1, Silvereria and Suso Calo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can see everything from jewelry made of wood, silver or other materials, to the most exquisite pottery from Bu\u00f1o under the protection of the Encaixe de Camari\u00f1as, but also headdresses, accessories or the very peculiar creations of the NGO Egueire, with motifs from the Ivory Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mayor, Sandra Insua, wanted to highlight the "immense work that artisans and lacemakers do to put together unique pieces, and that from today will be available to all the public who come to the Lace Museum."<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For her part, the councilor of Encaixe, Encarna Li\u00f1eiro, reaffirmed the "commitment we have had since the Mostra to combining craftsmanship and lace. At first it might have seemed like a utopia, but today it is a reality and one of the biggest catwalk successes in the last edition of the Mostra", she pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dolores Lema, director of the Mostra, said that "in this exhibition there are unique pieces and all of the highest quality, since they are made one by one and all by hand. There are no others like them in the world and we are lucky to be able to exhibit them to the public in the Aula do Palillo Raquel Moreira. For us it is a real honor", she stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
